“Chicago Handshake” is a Renaissance-like work featuring a 'typical' Chicago meal. Classical subject matter in this art style might have included some grapes and/or a dead fish. Not this one. Instead we have a diet busting midwest combination of a slice of deep dish pizza, some doughnuts, a mug of Oldstyle and a shot of Malört. Yummy. Why is the piece called that you ask? Turns out if you want an old man's beer and a shot of Malört at a bar you ask for a “Chicago Handshake”. So there you go...
