Oblivious Cat
18″ x 24″

The third and final piece of the “Recent finds
from Ostia” series. The 3D maze pattern depicted is found in ancient Greek and Roman mosaics. However mice have gotten into this one – unbeknownst to a patrolling feline. Now that
this piece in complete, the cat reminds me of
one of the animals depicted on the Ishtar Gate
of Babylon in Istanbul’s Archaeology Museum.
‘Oblivious Cat’ is a relatively inexpensive, low maintenance way to own a pet.
