Death is the great leveller. It cancels out all differences of wealth and class. This is an updated interpretation of a 2000 year old piece based on that idea. It was found in Pompeii. The weight (the skull) is death.
The soul is the butterfly while fortune is represented by the wheel. The name “The Great Leveller” was lifted from a description of the ancient piece which currently resides in the National Archeological Museum in Naples, Italy.
